On behalf of Joyce and all the family, we want to thank you all so much for all the comments on this blog over these last six weeks. Mum & Dad have found them a tremendous encouragement & support and the outpouring of love kept Dad positive right to the end. Often words don’t fully convey appreciation but please know that we all have drawn strength from the knowledge that so many people have been reading and taking some inspiration from our fantastic Dad & husband. Dad didn’t want to have a traditional service but said he wanted to have his ashes scattered on the mountains we can see from the house. We are going to do this on Saturday morning and have a celebration of his life back at the house in the afternoon at 2pm. We would like to invite all that are able to join us to pop in.
Love & Peace to All
Joyce, Lisa, Steve & Rick
The last two nights have been very disturbed for Colin. He is very agitated and disorientated.
Tonight an ‘Almeria Angel’ is coming to sit with him for 10pm to 8am.
Love to all.
A bad day all round. Colin awake for brief periods only and it saddens him that he can’t think properly.
Another less than perfect day.
Joyce’s ability with the hoist was somewhat over-rated yesterday and the ‘L’ plates are back!
Peace to all.
Colin much the same. The hoist is a great success (not quite swinging from the chandeliers) but able to move Colin a lot easier.
Thanks to all who leave comments – they are a real encouragement and support.
Love to all from both of us.
Hi All. The hoist has arrived and I hope it will make a big improvement and make life easier for us all, though Joyce has yet to try it out on me. I feel weaker every day and my world is now encompassed by a box of about three square metres, just the little area around my bed. I can no longer see outside or what the weather is doing.
As you can imagine days go very slowly so day by day there is very little to report.
Love you all.
Feeling very much weaker today and hoping that the hoist that is coming tomorrow will help.
Love to all.
